Golden Sea

My parents had a restaurant with a 50-years tradition in Germany, in a small town, Palenberg, near Aachen. When I married a brazilian girl from Bahia and moved 1979 from Germany to São Paulo to work as an expatriate in brazilian-german companies, I had a dream: to run , one day, a little lodge in Bahia, on the beach, full of palm-trees, living with the sea, the sun, and the nights of moon-light and countless stars.

My name is simply Iolanda, I like the sun and the sea, I like to paint and to work, Sometimes I do nothing or taste a caipirinha and tell stories, I like it to like, to love, to dream of the past..., the presence...and the future..., I like this wonderful place...

Why the name Jambo?
Jambo is a fruit with delicious scent,
Jambo is a fruit , sometimes roseat and sometimes jambo,
Jambo is the colour morena in Bahia,
Jambo is sometimes the colour of the rising sun,
Jambo is sometimes the colour of the setting sun,
Jambo is a greating,
Jambo, sun and fresh water is sometimes all I want,
Jambo is our lodge on  Praia da Espera Beach,
Jambo is the colour of happiness.
